HI EVERYONE!! 

For those of you who don't know me, you're missing out, but I'm Kyle and I'm currently studying abroad in Perugia, Italy! You've probably never heard of it because it's a smaller city in central Italy, but it's where Amanda Knox studied so that's fun... Anyways I'm soo excited to get to know each and everyone one of you over the coming months!! I'm sure you'll hear this a thousand times, but being a Peer Mentor is the absolute best thing you can do at Stonehill!! It is so incredible and I can't wait to go through one last Orientation with all of you! 

Back at Stonehill I'm a history major with a minor in secondary education! Aside from being a PM, I am also a RA and will being seeing everyone in their proudest moments in the junior courts next year! Also I will just get this out here now.. I'm in a committed relationship with 2 members on the team. I've been dating Linsey Malia for 5 1/2 years and Peter Ciccarone for 1. 

We clearly love each other... 

Ok so onto what I am doing abroad! Mainly, I eat a lot. I'm taking four classes but my main class is History and Culture of Food in Italy and we literally have weekly workshops where we eat and drink wine. My other three classes are Italian, Archaeology, and Human Development in Culture. Italy is by far one of the most incredible places in the world. Between the food, the wine, the people, and the views (literally everywhere you look is gorgeous) I would definitely recommend studying in Italy! The one downside is if you have an irrational fear of birds (like I do) be warned there are aggressive pigeons everywhere. Anyways I look forward to meeting those of you I don't know and reuniting with the rest of you so soon (I come home May 1st... 😢) 

Hello from Copenhagen!

Hello Everyone!

I miss every single one of you and I wish abroad wasn't so great or else I would be running home (literally, I am never leaving). LOL jk, I will be home for Orientation because it is the best thing since sliced bread.

Realizing that some of you might not know who I am at all, here is a short introduction: So my name is Allison (some people call me Al) and I am a Junior Psychology and Health Science double major at Stonehill! This will be my third summer being a Peer Mentor and it is quite honestly the best experience that I have had on Stonehill's campus (so basically get excited because your life is about to change). On campus, I am also an RA - last semester I was placed in the Senior Courts and for the next school year I will be in Flynn in the Heights!

From the title, you can probably tell that I am studying abroad in Copenhagen, Denmark (also with Linsey Malia!!!!). I have grown to love this city so much and leaving in 5 weeks is going to be so hard to do. In Copenhagen, I am taking 5 classes (Cross-Cultural Psychology, Epidemiology, Neuroscience Methodology, Danish Language and Culture, and a photography class). Although there is not as much work for these classes, I am still learning SO much! My program, DIS, doesn't have classes on Wednesdays which are reserved for field trips around Copenhagen to dive more into course material. I have been to Danish schools to hospitals to medical museums - all to have a more hands on experience (peep the picture of my getting an EEG done at a hospital).

Apart from class, DIS's motto is "Scandinavia as your home, Europe as your classroom" and they way they set up there break schedule really shows that. Basically, we have class for 2 weeks and then a week off to travel. With that being said, I have been to:

• Malmö, Sweden
• Dublin, Ireland
• Vienna, Austria
• Berlin, Germany (with my Cross-Cultural Psychology class)
• Athens, Greece
• Amsterdam, Netherlands
• Milan, Venice, Florence, Perugia, Rome, Italy
• Seville, Spain

In terms of living, I live in Amager (a small island that is apart of Copenhagen) in an apartment building with ~50 other American students from around the country. I live about 15-20 minutes away from DIS so I either take the bus or ride my bike (for those that know me, yes I can't believe that I ride a bike to class either). Although the weather in Copenhagen can be a drag at times (chilly and often cloudy), the days that it is sunny remind me why this country is deemed the "Happiest Country in the World."

I cannot believe that I only have 5 short weeks left of this most adventurous experience in my life thus far but I am also BEYOND excited to get to know each and every one of the new members on this team! I hope you all are enjoying the semester and best of luck with the final trainings and the endless amount of icebreakers that you are going to play!!!!

Hej from Denmark

WOW, hi everyone! I am absolutely devastated that I am not there to meet you all and cannot wait to get to know each and every one of you that I don’t already know! Missing out on PM is the one thing that has been giving me FOMO since being abroad. 

I’m assuming you all know who I am since I was in the Alumni Magazine featured as Ace the Skyhawk (my 2nd most important role on campus after PM), so I am pretty much the most important figure on campus (yes, more important than Father John), but if you don’t know who I am, my name is Linsey and I am a junior on campus from Natick Massachusetts. I am a psychology major with a minor in sociology.

I think the most important thing to let everyone know is that Kyle Collins and I are the OG couple on the team, so don’t let all the other flings happening on the team fool ya because Kyle and I are pretty much the cat’s meow. 

Come on, look at us. We've been together for 5 years. You can just call us mom and dad.

Okay, now that I have told you the important things, I guess I should let you know what I am doing abroad. I am in Copenhagen with Allison Murray (she is kinda annoying but I guess it’s cool to have a fellow Skyhawk here with me). Cope is honestly so amazing though and I have been having so much fun here! I am traveling a lot and taking a bunch of really cool classes, but don’t want to bore you all with the names of all of them!

In all seriousness I cannot wait to see/get to know every single one of you when I get back on campus. I am beyond excited to be with the team again and welcome in the class of 2021 with all of you amazing people! Can I get a HILLYEAH?!

HEY FROM THE UK

OMG HI!

If you're reading this, I love you dearly. Yes, all of you. Except Dave. And Tim. But I'm sending everyone else so much Skyhawk love from here in London!! I can't wait to meet you all and hug every last one of you. Being a PM is my absolute favorite role on campus (shhh... don't tell the admissions department) and I'm so glad to share this experience with all of you one last time.


I just realized that some of you might not know me literally at all, so here's my slightly modified tour introduction! I'm Sam, I'm a junior here at Stonehill, originally from Chelmsford, MA. As of TODAY I'm officially an Economics major with a double minor in Data Science and Business Administration (say that three times fast) which is a super big deal because I've spent the last 2 years trying to change my major, but I'm so indecisive! Other than being a PM (hillya) I practically live in Donahue working for admissions, I'm a Center Assistant and Peer Tutor in the CWAA, I'm part of some WILD greek life (honor societies) on campus, and I can most commonly be found in Jefferson, at brunch, or physically attached to Keri.

Now that you know who I am, here's a bit about what I'm up to while you're buried in snow, midterms, and awkward, ice-breaker filled PM trainings. I'm living a slightly different life as a resident, student and intern in a city that's nothing like our beloved Easton. Here in London I'm working 20 hours a week as a Digital Marketing Analytics Intern at Perfect Storm Media. That's not quite as elite as it sounds; I typically get coffee and "fix" the printer when my boss unplugs it, but sometimes I get to perform real analyses and geek out over excel and fun data software. I know, I'm super cool!!

I'm also taking 3 classes here: International Finance (why do exchange rates exists they're literally the price of money I don't get it), Gender & Citizenship in Britain (girl power! *said with British accent*), and Analyzing Global London (yesterday we listened to the Beatles for 2 hours... this counts as my history cornerstone #liberalarts). For the most part my classes consist of field trips around London, intelligent discussions about what we saw, and short papers analyzing pretty much anything remotely related to the class. Despite the small amount of homework compared to Stonehill classes, I'm learning A TON and having a blast, 10/10 would recommend going abroad, I actually feel myself getting smarter in so many ways.


Other than that I absolutely love living in this big, fast paced city; it's so cool to be somewhere so surprisingly different from home. Saying that it will be tough to get me back to the states in a month in a half is a serious understatement, but I cannot wait to meet all of you and be back in a place where people don't look at me funny when I say hill yeah. HAVE A GREAT SEMESTER, see you all so soon!!
